Ok... this is the first post that feels like homework to me...lets get over with this...
Ok.....now...The songwriter wrote about Paving paradise and building a carpark right...?Right.
He probably means that due to the needs of globalisation, the once beautiful natural forests and grasslands which were filled with all things natural and beautiful was taken away and replaced with carparks and industrial buildings. Okay.... now for the second one i'm going to interpret.
Cutting down the trees and having the need to pay to look at them in museums?Ok this probably means that due to globalisation, the once abundant green scenery full of trees and all things natural are going extinct and that it became so limited that we had to see it in a museum as if it were something legendary and precious.
And the third one is "
Hey farmer farmer, Put away that D.D.T. now
Give me spots on my apples, But leave me the birds and the bees, Please!"
This probably means that the writer would rather have imperfect looking apples then have the animals killed by the pesticide they use on the plants.
(I think she feels sightly irritated by the whole globalisation thing?)

What!? A JI leader was kept in Singapore?Eh?

Ok...this is really shocking, i believe that most Singaporeans are like me, they had no idea that Singapore was detaining the Leader of the JI network in Singapore. But this incident has really made me want to be more aware of what is happening, with his escape...my image of Singapore as a super! duper! safe country has really been messed up...how can they let such a dangerous man escape! I thought elites were sent to guard him! They should stand beside him when he urinates or when he is taking a dump, by letting this guy escape, a risk of having a bomb planted in this little country has been created, we must not let him leave or escape this country, we must hunt him down! This happens right after we got selected to host the youth olympics...what would the next doors say about us, we must and will find this little dwarf with a limp.

So...theres this guy called Mr.Gabriel Chan who came to give a speech right?I thought he was kinda interesting using different languages throughout the speech which really brought me back from my trance.
Want to know what i learnt about terrorism?Sure you do , ha ha here goes my cool and sleep-inducing material.

1. I learnt that if we do not try to understand each other's believes and cultural customs, it may lead to us misunderstanding their intention(eg.Mr.Gabriel Chan's joke on the chinese custom of burning incense paper on some days of the year, being misunderstood by a malay man).Racial Harmony starts with understanding and accepting each other.

There are people who actually believe they are acting as the messenger of their God, they kill using their God as an excuse(What kind of twisted people are these...has the milk of human kindness curded?)We should not think generally that if there are terrorist who belong to a religion,they all are terrorist.(If you still believe that,doesn't that make us all chinese farmers?)

3.When we should not discriminate food(sounds weird) or traditional snacks given to us by our kind neighbours who are of a different race.There is perfectly nothing wrong with accepting a date given by a Muslim neighbour(If apes can eat dates why can't we).Maybe you would start to develop a love for dates, well let me tell you something The Food Is Innocent so stop being choosy and accept the date and curry(Indian neighbours may share with you, don't eat too much though, coconut milk makes you fat).
